Silent Auction
SILENT AUCTION RULES AND RECOMMENDATIONS
1. A bid sheet accompanies each auction item. The bid sheet shows the item description, item number, retail value (if known), opening bid and bid increment. Print your name, telephone number and bid amount on the next blank line, raising bids by the listed increment.
2. Bids are final - don't bid if you don't plan to buy the item!
3. If you are committed to purchasing an item, check the bid status
intermittently, and, if necessary, enter a new bid to ensure you go
home the lucky winner. Keep bidding on as many items as you want - remember,
since all of the silent auction items have been graciously donated,
the money you spend goes directly to support Friends of Drummond!
4. To ensure you do not miss an opportunity to place a final bid on
an item, an announcement will be made 15 minutes before closing.
5. Upon closing, the winning bidder's name will be posted near the auction
tables for your convenience.
6. Auction closings will begin at 8:30 and 9:00. However, we ask that
you please be patient while our volunteers get organized. This will
make a much smoother collection process for everyone.
7. Winners are requested to pay for and collect items after the close
of the Auction. Payment may be made by cash, check or credit card (MC/Visa).
If you cannot stay, you will be contacted within the next week and prompt
payment will be expected.

710. POP Art
Have you ever wanted to own a Warhol, Keith Haring or Jasper Johns? Here is the next best thing! Students from Drummond's third grade classroom, taught by Ms. Martinez-McCarthy, have recreated some "POP" art pieces by these artists. Other artists featured are Piet Mondrian, Roy Lichtenstein and Robert Indiana.
711. Vertebrates
Ms. Caltabiano's class, Room 201, has created a child size table and two chairs. This decoupage features student drawings of the "five classifications" of vertebrates: mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. The interactive design includes descriptions of each classification, as well as a matching activity. Keep your child learning at home over summer break!
712. Sun Exposure
Ms. Kerber's students created wonderful groups of sun exposure prints by placing various objects on exposure paper to create beautiful shades of blue. The art was created in the Drummond parking lot and framed by Drummond parents.
713. Kindergarten Mosaic
Ms. Kerber's five-year-olds created a large mosaic piece at the Chicago Mosaic School. This lovely framed piece would be a wonderful reminder of your child's final year with beloved Kathleen Kerber.
